SoftSmile, a digital treatment planning software company, has announced its partnership with Dental Axess, a computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) solutions provider. The partnership will offer VISION, SoftSmile’s artificial intelligence (AI)-driven clear aligner treatment planning software, through Dental Axess. This introduction of design services and CAD software is said to be an end-to-end solution that enables users to optimise workflows for both tracking outsourced designs and in-house designs. It will also bring time and cost savings to Dental Axess customers, according to the companies.

Furthermore, VISION will be integrated into Xflow, Dental Axess’ cloud-based data and workflow management platform. By integrating VISION into Xflow, the companies aim to facilitate a scan-to-design and fabrication workflow through web-based technology. This allows orthodontic professionals to manage their complete digital workflow, including communication, case approval from doctors, and manufacturing all in one place.

“Dental Axess has consistently pioneered digitalisation in the dental industry and we are excited to bring VISION onboard to continue to enhance the digital experience for orthodontic professionals,” said Per Claesson, co-founder and CEO of Dental Axess.

The collaboration also aims to create a new avenue for SoftSmile’s market expansion and amplifies the brand’s global presence.

“We are proud to announce the partnership with Dental Axess, an innovative marketplace, allowing us to reach their outstanding customers. With the integration of VISION and Xflow, more doctors and patients will get access to best-in-class orthodontic treatment — the goal SoftSmile and Dental Axess share,” said Khamzat Asabaev, founder and CEO of SoftSmile.
