Solventum has marked its first year of operations in Thailand with the introduction of a new fluoride treatment designed to support preventive dental care. The development forms part of the company’s broader efforts to expand its dental portfolio and provide solutions aimed at enhancing clinical workflows.
Following its spin-off from 3M, Solventum continues to build on decades of health technology experience, focusing on research, materials science and product development across dental, surgical and health data segments. In Thailand, the company reports ongoing investments in research and development, with an emphasis on producing materials that meet international quality and safety standards.
Dental caries remains a common oral health concern in the country, particularly among children and working-age adults. National surveys indicate that high sugar consumption contributes to an increased risk of tooth decay. Fluoride treatment is widely recognised as a preventive measure to strengthen enamel and help reduce caries incidence. Solventum’s newly introduced Clinpro Clear Fluoride treatment is positioned as a patient-friendly option intended to support preventive dentistry by offering a smoother texture, multiple flavour choices and a shorter post-treatment waiting time before patients can resume eating and drinking.
Alongside fluoride care, Solventum continues to highlight other products within its dental range. These include restorative and adhesive materials such as RelyX Fiber Post, RelyX Universal Resin Cement, and Scotchbond Universal Plus Adhesive, which the company states are designed to support durable bonding and streamline clinical procedures. The firm has also introduced Filtek Easy Match Universal Restorative, a composite intended to simplify shade selection and support both anterior and posterior restorations.
Solventum reports that its product development approach is guided by a focus on clinical evidence and user needs, aiming to support workflow efficiency and treatment consistency in dental practice.
In Thailand, the company works exclusively with DKSH (Thailand) as its authorised distributor. DKSH manages nationwide logistics, including storage and product handling, and provides access to Solventum products through its eConnect platform. The distributor also collaborates with Solventum on training initiatives and workshops intended to help dental professionals stay informed about new materials and techniques.
Solventum states that it will continue to invest in research, education and product development as part of its long-term commitment to supporting the dental sector in Thailand.
