TAYPORT, FIFE – Less than a year after opening, Tayport Dental Practice is already making headlines with two major awards and a growing patient base. Founded by dentist Esme Jardine in September, the Castle Street clinic has quickly become a valued part of the local community.
Jardine set out with a simple but powerful vision: to create a welcoming, compassionate environment where patients feel heard and cared for. That goal, she says, is already being realised.
In recent months, the practice earned two notable accolades—Best Dental Clinic at Fife’s Scotland’s Business Awards and an Award of Excellence 2025 from E2 Media. The recognition, especially so early in the clinic’s journey, reflects the strong bond it has formed with the community.
Awards Rooted in Patient Trust
The Business Award was particularly meaningful for the team. It began with a nomination from one of their own patients and was followed by an anonymous visit from a mystery shopper.
“We had no idea we’d won until our name was called at the ceremony,” Jardine said. “It was a complete surprise, and it means a lot—especially at this early stage. Our amazing team would like to thank our wonderful patients for their continued support.”
Teamwork and Care at the Core
The practice is run by a dedicated six-member team. Jardine believes their genuine connection with patients has been key to the practice’s early success.
“I think what sets us apart is how much we care. We have real empathy, and we provide a great service,” she explained. “We’re a happy team. We work well together, and we love helping everyone who walks through the door.”
Now Welcoming New Patients
Tayport Dental Practice is now accepting new patients and invites more families to join its growing community.
The clinic provides NHS dental care for patients under 26 and encourages parents to contact the team to discuss children’s dental needs.
For adult patients, the practice offers a Denplan Essentials plan at £15.50 per month. The plan covers:
- Two dental check-ups per year
- Oral cancer screening
- Two hygiene treatments, including scale and polish
- Preventative advice
- All routine dental x-rays
Patients also have the option to receive care on a private pay-as-you-go basis.
