Presentations included:,• Master Dental Technician (MDT) Michael Kohnen, head of global application support and education at exocad, shared the 45 new and over 85 enhanced features for DentalCAD 3.1 Rijeka, along with a sneak peek at the Rijeka 3.1 version of exoplan, the company’s open implant planning software., ,• Dr. Guilherme Saavedra from Brazil and (MDT) Waldo Zarco Nosti from Spain offered presentations about the digital dentistry process, from virtual planning to finished, high-quality prosthetics., ,• Dr. Lori Trost, a U.S.-based restorative dentist and founder of Trost Dental, inspired attendees with a presentation about her digital treatment concept for dentures., ,CDT Steven Campbell, a UK lab owner, explained how digital workflows can help with staff shortages in clinics and labs., ,• Sascha Hein, an MDT from Germany, addressed the challenges of determining correct tooth shade for esthetic restorations from a digital perspective., ,• Smile Design founder Dr. Christian Coachman, from Brazil, addressed “dentist-lab synergy in the digital era” and suggested ways to produce predictable restorations., ,• Dr. Gulshan Murgai, from the UK, presented an implant planning case using exoplan and also discussed the planning of single-tooth implants with immediate restoration and restoration of edentulous jaws., ,• Dr. Diana Tadros, a U.S. clinician and AACD Accredited cosmetic dentist, discussed her digital treatment concept and how exocad’s Smile Creator can be used in the patient journey to create esthetic restorations., ,Along with presentations and learning sessions from clinicians and technicians, Insights 2022 featured exhibits of the newest innovations from more than 50 leading dental materials, equipment, and CAD/CAM companies., ,Additionally, exocad presented its latest launch of 3 new DentalCAD Rijeka 3.1 modules and features. Firstly, iTero NIRI technology and intraoral camera images are now automatically imported to help technicians visualize internal and external tooth structure, as well as optimize margin line tracing. Secondly, the new xSnap module is a model attachment for a printable 3D articulated system featuring a spherical head, which allows a precisely executed protrusion, laterotrusion, and mediotrusion.
