VideaHealth has secured $40 million in a Series B funding round. Since its launch in 2022, VideaHealth has provided AI-powered software for dental service organisations (DSOs) and established industry partnerships, and it is now poised to expand into new markets.
Led by Emily Melton, co-founder and managing partner of Threshold Ventures, with participation from Avenir, BAM Corner Point, and existing investors Spark Capital, Zetta Venture Partners, and Pillar VC, this new capital will enable VideaHealth to scale its AI platform, expand partnerships, and introduce innovative tools to meet the growing demand for AI driven solutions from DSOs and individual dentists.
“For AI to truly transform oral care, dentists require a solution that starts with delivering improved patient care in a way that builds trust with their patients,” said Florian Hillen, founder and CEO of VideaHealth. “VideaHealth is committed to pushing the boundaries of what AI can achieve in dental care. With the support of our partners, team, and investors, we are poised to lead the industry into a new era of innovation and excellence.”
AI technology is increasingly becoming more important to the dental market, which is growing from an estimated $500bn in 2025 to over $750bn by 2034 as reported by Precedence Research. Yet, the American Dental Association reports that dental offices are struggling with staffing shortages and retention challenges. VideaHealth’s AI technology solves these challenges with streamlined workflows and improved patient case acceptance. Dental offices are experiencing significant same-practice revenue growth across their footprint and increased provider satisfaction due to Videa’s AI platform.
“We invest in technology companies that can transform healthcare delivery. VideaHealth’s AI platform, implemented by leading dental health companies, has demonstrated the ability to dramatically improve clinical and administrative workflows, substantially improving patient and provider experience. Florian Hillen is an exceptional founder who deeply understands both the potential of AI technology and the current needs of the dental industry, making him the partner of choice for many of the most innovative and successful companies in the industry,” said Emily Melton of Threshold Ventures.
With this funding, VideaHealth will continue to empower clinicians to focus on delivering quality care and driving practice growth. The company will continue to focus on its partnerships and broaden its product offerings across various segments, including AI-generated workflow tools and revenue cycle management in the dental industry.
Accelerating Dental AI innovation
In 2024, VideaHealth announced collaborations with the largest DSOs in North America, including Heartland Dental in the U.S. and DentalCorp in Canada. These organisations along with thousands of other dental groups and offices are accelerating their AI efforts with VideaHealth’s solutions.
“AI is transforming dentistry by helping clinicians improve patient outcomes, strengthen relationships and support practice growth. VideaHealth has established itself as the leader in dental AI with proven products, strong adoption and clear vision for the future. Their technology and partnership align with our goals, making them the right choice for now and into the future as we continue to grow and enhance care across our network,” said Nate Tchaplia, president of DentalCorp.
VideaHealth’s expanded partnership with Henry Schein One is also bringing AI to the dental education market. It is one of the first dental AI companies to offer insights for virtually every disease state in dentistry, including pediatric conditions. Customers have commended the platform’s ease of use and transformative business impact, enabling clinicians to streamline administrative tasks and focus more on delivering optimal patient care with greater detail and insights into their dental health.
