New features aim to support smoother workflows for orthodontic practices

Weave, a software platform that provides communication and payment tools for small and medium-sized healthcare providers, has announced a new integration with Ortho2’s Edge Cloud, a practice management solution for orthodontists in the U.S. and Canada.
The integration introduces several features designed to improve practice efficiency and patient communication:
Daily data synchronisation keeps patient contact and appointment records current through automated updates from the Edge Cloud database.
Weave’s voice over IP (VoIP) phone system includes call pop functionality, displaying key patient details such as upcoming appointments when a call is received. Other features include unlimited rollover lines, call forwarding, IVR, and on-hold messages.
Automated text replies can be triggered for missed calls without voicemails, supporting continued patient contact.
Two-way texting allows for ongoing communication with patients, aiming to reduce no-shows and support treatment compliance.
Patients receive automated appointment confirmations shortly after scheduling, with reminders sent ahead of time to keep schedules on track.
Recall reminders are also automated, prompting patients to book follow-up appointments.
Practices can customise and schedule review requests via text following patient visits to support reputation management.
According to Weave, the integration is intended to reduce administrative workload and enable practitioners to focus on patient care by streamlining communication and operational processes.
