The poll was taken as part of the ADA’s monthly “Economic Outlook and Emerging Issues in Dentistry” report for the week of June 12. Nine hundred eighty-six respondents answered the question on staff wage increases.
Here is the percentage of the raise that dental assistants and hygienists received:
Dental hygienists
1 to 3 percent raise: 27.7 percent
4 to 6 percent raise: 34.6 percent
7 to 9 percent raise: 14.8 percent
10 percent or more raise: 22.8 percent
Dental assistants
1 to 3 percent raise: 21.6 percent
4 to 6 percent raise: 41.3 percent
7 to 9 percent raise: 15.7 percent
10 percent or more raise: 21.4 percent
