WHO publication spotlights mercury-free oral care

The 20-page report is the first in a series about oral health. It is meant to inform the general public on the prevention and treatment of dental caries using mercury-free products and minimally-invasive options, including fluoride toothpaste and composite resin restorations.

WHO created the publication in regard to the Minamata Convention on Mercury, a global initiative to protect human health and the environment from the effects of mercury.
