Accurate shade selection plays an important role in the success of aesthetic zirconia restorations. The Zolid Bion Shade Guide is designed to support this process by enabling shade determination using samples produced from the same material as the final restoration. The guide includes samples corresponding to the 16 Vita classical shades, allowing direct comparison with zirconia restorations.
The latest version incorporates several design updates aimed at improving usability and durability. The holder is now produced from a robust injection-moulded material, offering increased strength and a more refined feel.
Additionally, the shade guide crowns are no longer attached using rubber bands. Instead, they can be clicked into place via a groove in the spring steel sheet. This adjustment is intended to simplify cleaning and disinfection, as the guide can now be steam-cleaned without the risk of rubber bands degrading or requiring replacement.
