“Dentology, powered by Henry Schein”, is the company’s first virtual international symposium on digital dentistry. Taking place on 29 and 30 January 2021, the event will provide high-value content through an extensive range of expert-led lectures from internationally renowned dental professionals. Within Dentology, participants from around the globe will be able to engage with speakers.
Dentology keynote speakers are Dr Christian Coachman (Brazil) and Dr Simon Chard (UK).
Graduate of both dentistry and dental technology degree and a member of the Brazilian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, Dr Christian Coachman will talk about the impact of digitalisation on dentistry.
Dr Simon Chard, qualified with Honours from King’s College London Dental Institute and selected as the fourth most influential dentist in UK dentistry as voted by the profession in Dentistry Magazine in 2020, will talk about innovation in patient communication with social media. He is also a member of the board of directors for the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
The Symposium’s experts represent the entire world of digital dentistry and range from Dr Ole Schmitt and Dr Andreas Kurbad (Germany), Prof Dr Guillermo Pradíes and Dr Ferran Llansana (Spain), Dr Jacques Vermeulen and Dr Christian Moussally (France), Stefano Negrini and Dr Mauro Fazioni (Italy), Wouter Reybrouck (Belgium), Prof Dr Daniël Wismeijer (Netherlands), Dr Ian Buckle (UK) and Dr Katya Archambault (United States).
They will cover topics such as the digital workflow, digital implantology and orthodontics, and the recognition of digital pathology.
Answers to questions like how to best start with digital, how to make the most of the intraoral scanner, and how to use digitalisation for customer communication are a selection of the comprehensive range of topics discussed.
Dentology guest speaker will be Randi Zuckerberg, an entrepreneur, investor, bestselling author, and Emmy-nominated tech media personality. Prior to founding her own company, Zuckerberg Media, she was one of the first Facebook employees and was ranked amongst the “50 Digital Power Players” by The Hollywood Reporter.

All speeches and breakout sessions from 29 and 30 January 2021 will be available for participants as on-demand videos from 1-27 February 2021 on the Dentology platform.
This enables participants to review sessions, to watch presentations that they were not able to see live. It can also be used to share their experience with practice partners and the team for decision-making processes.
Event language will be English. All live presentations will be subtitled in Dutch, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, and Spanish. A Certificate of Attendance will be available.
