Renovo Dental Builds Quiet Reputation for Denture Excellence Under Master Technician Dean Ward

Renovo Dental, widely known across the Ribble Valley and the North West for advanced dental implant treatments, has been quietly establishing itself as a specialist centre for high-quality bespoke denture care.

While the clinic has long been associated with complex implant and full-arch reconstructions, a lesser-known strength has been developing behind the scenes. That service is led by Clinical Dental Technician Dean Ward, whose expertise has drawn increasing attention from patients and dental professionals alike.

Ward has spent more than 27 years specialising in denture prosthetics and is regarded within the profession as a leader in digital denture protocols. As demand for his work increased, Renovo expanded its facilities to create a dedicated in-house denture centre, allowing the clinic to manage all stages of treatment under one roof.

The move has addressed a growing gap in denture provision, particularly within general dentistry. Many dentists acknowledge that NHS constraints, including limited appointment times, material choices and remuneration, make it difficult to deliver highly customised dentures. As a result, increasing numbers of practitioners now refer patients directly to Renovo for specialist denture care.

Ward is an international lecturer and serves as a Certified Trainer and Key Opinion Leader for Ivoclar International, a global manufacturer of dental materials. His involvement as a beta tester and clinical instructor ensures that Renovo patients have access to the latest materials and techniques.

The clinic uses a hybrid approach that combines advanced digital technology with traditional craftsmanship. CAD/CAM design, 3D printing and precision milling provide highly accurate foundations, while detailed hand-finishing delivers natural aesthetics and comfort.

Renovo also uses next-generation milled denture materials that are significantly stronger than conventional acrylic, reducing the risk of fractures and improving long-term stability. In addition, Ward incorporates the SEMCD technique for lower dentures, enabling improved suction and retention without implants or adhesives.

Because all work is completed in-house, some denture cases can now be finished in as few as two clinical visits. Referrals from local dentists continue to rise, alongside growing word-of-mouth recommendations from patients.

Renovo Dental now positions itself not only as a leader in implant dentistry, but also as a specialist centre for bespoke denture solutions, offering precision, durability and patient-focused care.
