Dental Clinic Partnership MB2 Dental Caps 2025 With Growth, Innovation And Nationwide Impact

MB2 Dental, the nation’s first and largest dental partnership organization (DPO), closed 2025 with strong gains in growth, innovation and professional development, reinforcing its mission to preserve private practice while supporting dentists nationwide.

By year’s end, MB2 Dental had grown to more than 800 partner practices, a milestone reached in September with the addition of The Smile Lodge, its largest transaction to date. The organization added 60 new partner practices and four de novo locations in 2025, while completing 30 partner-led expansions within its existing network. MB2 also expanded into Hawaii, bringing its footprint to 45 states.

“Every one of these practices chose a partnership over a buyout,” said founder and CEO Dr. Chris Steven Villanueva. “They kept their names, retained full clinical autonomy, and gained resources to grow without compromise.”

In 2025, MB2 Dental supported more than 4.5 million patient visits. Its community now includes approximately 12,500 team members, including 1,900 doctors and more than 600 central support staff.

A key development was the launch of Carabelli Club, a national affiliate program designed to support independent dental practice owners. Introduced in mid-2025, the program attracted more than 275 members across 40 states and the U.S. Virgin Islands. With over 85 vendor partners, Carabelli Club delivered estimated annual savings of more than $28,000 per member through group purchasing, education and operational resources.

MB2 also invested heavily in infrastructure and technology. The company opened the MB2 Athletic Center (MAC), a 16,000-square-foot headquarters facility for continuing education and collaboration, with an additional 6,300 square feet planned for early 2026. At the same time, MB2 began selectively integrating clinical and non-clinical AI tools to improve efficiency and reduce administrative burden, a strategy expected to accelerate in 2026.

Professional development remained a priority throughout the year. MB2 hosted its largest Owner Retreat to date in Lake Tahoe and welcomed former President George W. Bush as a guest speaker at a partner event in Frisco. Retired General Stanley McChrystal also led a leadership session at the MAC, focusing on resilience and team development. The company delivered more than 3,000 continuing education credits through CE Blitz programs and other in-person and virtual offerings, while MB2U sessions supported associate doctors preparing for ownership.

Philanthropic efforts continued through the MB2 Family Foundation, which awarded $42,000 in scholarships to 21 students and more than $170,000 in hardship grants to team members. MB2’s eighth annual Jamaica Mission Trip provided care to more than 500 patients, and the company contributed over $30,000 toward hurricane relief efforts in the region.

MB2 Dental’s performance earned industry recognition, including a fourth appearance on the Inc. Regionals: Southwest list of fastest-growing companies. Dr. Villanueva was also named No. 10 on Incisal Edge magazine’s “32 Most Influential People in Dentistry” list, rising from No. 14 in 2024.

Looking ahead to 2026, MB2 Dental said it will continue to focus on measured growth, technology-driven support and expanded opportunities for partner doctors and the broader oral care community.
