ZimVie (Nasdaq: ZIMV) has announced a strategic distribution agreement with South Korea-based Osstem Implant Co., a major player in dental implant technology. The deal gives Osstem exclusive rights to market and sell ZimVie’s dental implant systems across China.
Osstem, known for its integrated dental solutions and strong presence in the Asian market, is currently the top provider of dental implants in China. This new partnership is expected to expand ZimVie’s footprint in one of the world’s fastest-growing dental markets.
ZimVie, which is in the process of being acquired by the healthcare investment firm Archimed, said the partnership will improve access to its implant portfolio for Chinese customers. The company also views the agreement as a key step in its global growth strategy.
“Partnering with Osstem, a respected leader known for its quality products and strong customer service, gives ZimVie an excellent opportunity to grow in China,” said Vafa Jamali, ZimVie’s Chair and CEO.
Under the agreement, Osstem will handle all commercial responsibilities for ZimVie implants in China. The companies said this will expand product options for dental professionals and patients across the country.
ZimVie emphasized that the partnership highlights the strength and uniqueness of its implant systems. The company said it also reflects its broader goals of driving innovation, enhancing customer experience, and expanding globally.
Michael Kim, head of Osstem Implant’s China operations, also welcomed the collaboration. “We are excited to work with ZimVie, a company known for its clinical expertise and advanced technology,” he said. “This partnership allows us to give our customers more choices and better treatments. With our strong education programs and wide sales network, we will help more dentists and patients benefit from top-quality implants.”
