Flex Dental Solutions has formed a strategic partnership with DentalHQ? to let dental practices run in-house membership programs inside the Open Dental system.
The integration links Flex’s patient-engagement tools with DentalHQ’s membership-management platform, enabling clinics to design, enroll and manage membership plans directly through their Open Dental connection.
Practices will be able to automate payments and renewals, track program performance in real time, and offer customizable membership options to strengthen patient loyalty and recurring revenue.
“Our goal has always been to remove friction from the everyday life of dental teams,” said Craig Cormack, general manager of Flex Dental Solutions.
He added the partnership supports Flex’s mission to help teams “work smarter through meaningful automation—so teams can focus on patients, not paperwork.”
Kendra Hunter, president and COO of DentalHQ, said the collaboration makes it easier for Open Dental users to automate memberships and “deliver a better experience for their patients.”
The companies say the move addresses growing financial pressure on practices by creating more predictable income streams and reducing administrative burdens.
Flex, which already automates patient communication, digital forms, scheduling, payments and insurance processes within Open Dental, said the DentalHQ link expands automation into membership management—keeping more tasks inside clinicians’ existing workflows.
Both firms described the deal as a step toward a more connected, automation-driven ecosystem for dental practices, with plans for further integration and enhanced functionality in the future.
