Liberty Dental Plan will host a statewide week of service in Florida from October 9th to 19th, offering free dental screenings, treatment, and oral health education. Priority will be given to pregnant women, children in foster care, individuals with special needs, and seniors.
“We are creating opportunities for people to get the care and education they need to achieve better health outcomes,” said Stefanie Gaspard, Liberty’s Community and External Affairs Officer. “Oral health is integral to overall well-being, and we are working to ensure it receives the attention it deserves.”
Liberty will partner with local organizations and healthcare providers to provide mobile and on-site dental services. Service will be provided within nine designated partner areas across Florida’s Medicaid managed care program. In addition to clinical care, Liberty plans to offer in-person and online oral health education.
As part of its investment in dental talent, the company will also award scholarships to two dental hygienists. Liberty says this supports its broader goal of expanding access to affordable, high-quality dental benefits.
Founded in 2001, Liberty Dental Plan serves over 7.5 million members nationwide and participates in Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), Medicare Advantage, commercial plans, exchange products, and union/Taft-Hartley Act trust funds.
The privately held company is backed by investors including Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, and Elevance Health.
