Demand for Affordable Care Grows as Moore Faith Dental Clinic Sees Surge in Appointments

Since it began offering free services, Moore Faith Medical Clinic has been inundated with calls seeking free dental care.

The clinic, which relies on grants to provide free dental care to the community, has seen a surge in calls, highlighting the significant unmet need for affordable dental care.

Since opening in late August, Moore Faith Medical Clinic has seen a surge in calls, with over 500 appointments booked and the number of appointments still increasing.

Many Oklahomans say the high cost of dental care makes it difficult for them to afford it, but they remain eager for help.

“This highlights the critical need for quality dental care for many low-income families,” said Theresa Singleton, director of the Oklahoma Delta Dental Foundation.

Due to the overwhelming demand, the clinic is only accepting appointments from residents within the Moore school district. “Oral health is crucial to overall health, and the high cost of treatment, especially for those without insurance, can be unaffordable,” Singleton noted. She added that despite the abundance of resources, many people still don’t know that help is available.

The Oklahoma Delta Dental Foundation provides financial support for the Moore Faith Clinic and promotes free and low-cost dental clinic resources throughout the state.

The foundation provides “navigators” to help residents find affordable dental clinics nearby. Residents can contact these navigators for more information by calling (405) 607-4747.

The foundation also has an “Uninsured Patient Fund” that provides financial assistance to uninsured patients who urgently need care, especially in emergencies such as toothaches or infections.

Singleton emphasized, “We will continue to support residents in need and ensure they receive the dental care they need.” The Moore Faith Clinic is currently accepting appointments by appointment only; interested residents can schedule an appointment by phone.
