Genesee Health Plan (GHP) held its annual Health Care Hall of Fame ceremony on Thursday, honoring individuals and organizations who have partnered with GHP and made lasting contributions to health care.
These honorees have not only improved access to essential healthcare resources for Genesee County residents but have also had a profound impact on local health.
GHP President Jim Malinowski stated at the event that it is crucial to recognize and encourage those who quietly contribute to the community.
“Too often, people’s efforts go unseen. By recognizing them, we not only encourage them but also help the community understand the work they do and the resources available to them.”
The 2025 honorees include:
Bab Smith Volunteer Award
Michigan State University College of Human Medicine Community Partnership Award
Dennis Russell (Genesee Health System) – Visionary Leadership Award
This year’s ceremony also welcomed a new Hall of Fame member: dentist Dr. Raymond Gist. Gist has dedicated over 50 years to the dental field and has made significant contributions to the oral health of the community.
