Sai Kung Dental Clinic Adjusts Hours During Maintenance Work

The Department of Health (DH) announced yesterday (February 27) that the Sai Kung Mona Fong Dental Clinic (MFDC) will undergo maintenance from March 1 to April 30. Despite the repair work, the number of appointment quotas during the general public session will remain unchanged.

One consultation room at the MFDC will be temporarily closed. To maintain the original 21 daily appointment slots, the clinic will extend its Thursday service from just a morning session to both morning and afternoon sessions. The revised schedule will offer 11 quotas in the morning and 10 in the afternoon.

During the maintenance period, the public can still access emergency dental services at MFDC. These services include pain relief prescriptions, tooth extractions, and treatment for urgent conditions like oral abscesses. Appointments can be made through the Online Registration System for the Dental General Public Session (ORDGP).

Users of the ORDGP will now see two booking options for MFDC: “Sai Kung Mona Fong Dental Clinic (AM)” and “Sai Kung Mona Fong Dental Clinic (PM)”. Each person can select up to three clinic options when registering online.

The temporary service changes will end on May 7, and the clinic will return to its original schedule on May 8.

Service hours at the other 10 DH dental clinics with General Public Sessions will remain unchanged. More details, including clinic addresses and registration procedures, are available on the DH’s official website.
