Cosmedent launches new sculpting instrument

Cosmedent has introduced the Casi, a double-ended composite sculpting instrument. The lightweight Casi is designed to follow the natural tooth structure, according to the company. It features built-in convexity and anatomical curvature and has a titanium-coated finish. Laterals and lower anterior teeth are sculpted and shaped with the small end of the instrument, while the larger end is used for sculpting and shaping the central and canine teeth.

Young Innovations acquires orthodontics firm

Dental supply manufacturer Young Innovations has acquired the Orthodontic Store, a provider of orthodontic appliances, supplies, and instruments. Current customers and vendors will see no change to ordering or service procedures, according to the company. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
