Georgian College will hold an Open House on Saturday, Nov. 15, where prospective students can receive on-the-spot admission and compete for a $5,000 tuition prize.
Visitors can tour campuses, meet faculty and current students, and see hands-on learning spaces tied to more than 130 programs. The event highlights several new programs designed for in-demand careers, including Denture Design and Fabrication, Video and Motion Graphics Production, Flight Services — Cabin Management, Pre-Engineering Techniques, and Game Development.
The college will waive the $150 Ontario College Application Service fee for anyone who applies to a Georgian program at the event, provided Georgian is listed as the applicant’s first choice. Parking at all campuses is complimentary.
Open House hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Barrie campus, and 9 a.m. to noon at the Midland, Orangeville and Owen Sound campuses. For those who cannot attend in person, Georgian offers one-on-one appointments with recruitment specialists and a live virtual information session called Get to Know Georgian.
The next Get to Know Georgian session is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 5 p.m.; registration is open. Georgian markets itself as a leader in immersive, experience-based learning and as Canada’s first designated Changemaker College.
Prospective students and families can use the Open House to ask program-specific questions, learn about admissions and financial aid, and explore career pathways tied to Georgian’s new offerings.
