Century residents will have access to mobile dental services on Monday, thanks to Community Health Northwest Florida (CHNWF).
The first visit of CHNWF’s mobile dental unit in Century is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on November 24 at the Community Health office on Industrial Boulevard. Additional visit dates will be announced in the future.
“The dental department is excited to once again offer dental consults, exams, and cleanings to the citizens of Century through our mobile dental unit,” said Dr. Gabriel Hernandez, DDS, CHNWF’s chief dental officer. “We look forward to providing essential dental care to a community with limited options.”
The mobile dental unit is essentially a dentist office on wheels. It is equipped with multiple chairs to provide basic dental exams and cleanings. The unit will operate outside the CHNWF Century office at 6021 Industrial Boulevard, off Highway 4.
For patients who require more complex dental work, arrangements will be made at one of CHNWF’s other offices.
Patients should bring identification and insurance information to their visit.
“Our mobile dental unit helps make quality healthcare more accessible and affordable, which improves patient outcomes,” said Chandra Smiley, CEO of CHNWF. “Bringing dental care to Century shows how mobile units can overcome barriers to healthcare, especially for vulnerable populations and residents in rural areas.”
