Rochester Opens New CDHS Kids’ Dental Clinic

Rochester Opens New CDHS Kids’ Dental Clinic

Children’s Dental Health Services (CDHS) will celebrate the opening of a new permanent pediatric dental clinic in Rochester with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, July 10.

This important step marks a solid step in CDHS’s efforts to expand dental care coverage and improve the oral health of disadvantaged children in southeastern Minnesota.

Located at 1615 NW 14th Street in Rochester, the new clinic was selected to provide convenient, affordable, and high-quality dental care to families in underserved communities.

This location is closely aligned with CDHS’ core mission to ensure that every child has equal access to dental care, especially in underserved areas.

This expansion was made possible by a grant from the Delta Dental of Minnesota Foundation, which provides CDHS with a solid foundation to realize its vision.

Sarah Hayes Anderson, Executive Director of CDHS, expressed her sincere gratitude in a press statement: “Thanks to their generous support, we have been able to significantly expand our service capacity and provide high-quality dental care to more children than we originally imagined!”

The new facility will initially have six advanced dental operating rooms equipped with professional equipment and personnel to provide comprehensive oral health services for children.

In the future, there are plans to expand the number of operating rooms to twelve to further enhance service capacity and coverage.

It is worth mentioning that the clinic will also serve as a hub for important projects under CDHS, including the mobile dental service vehicle program and the school-based school dental care program, which widely serve schools and community agencies in southeastern Minnesota.

According to CDHS’s plan, by January 2026, the establishment of the new clinic will significantly increase CDHS’s appointment capacity and is expected to provide dental services to an additional 1,000 children.

As the facility is gradually expanded and the system is optimized, more children will benefit from it and enjoy early and continuous oral health interventions to effectively prevent caries and other common oral diseases.

The opening of this new facility is not only a strong extension of CDHS’s many years of service, but also highlights the community’s high regard for children’s oral health.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will bring together representatives from local governments, educational institutions, health organizations and sponsors, and will also provide guided tours and interactive introductions to the clinic to fully demonstrate CDHS’s blueprint for future development.

For families in Rochester and the entire region, the establishment of this dental center means a further step of peace of mind and a new chapter in the healthy growth of children.
