Sun Life US and its dental subsidiary, DentaQuest, announced the reopening of a 20,460-square-foot office at the Bayshore Shopping Center in Glendale, Wisconsin.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held yesterday, attended by Glendale Mayor Bryan Kennedy, Sun Life executives, and local employees.
The new open-air office space is located within a mixed-use development featuring more than 60 retailers, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Approximately 460 employees will use the space with flexible, hybrid work schedules and access to free on-site parking.
“This office was built to provide a place for our employees to collaborate, stay productive, and stay connected,” said David Healy, president of Sun Life US. He noted that many local colleagues joined Sun Life following the company’s acquisition of DentaQuest in 2022.
For more than a decade, DentaQuest has maintained a significant presence in Milwaukee and has supported local dental education programs, including providing academic enrichment services to incoming students at Marquette University School of Dentistry. Sun Life US Dental, which includes DentaQuest, is the largest dental benefits provider in the United States by membership.
The office is designed using an activity-based work (ABW) model and incorporates features designed to enhance employee well-being. According to the company, it offers approximately 280 configurable workstations that can be customized to suit various work styles.
“The addition of Sun Life and DentaQuest is great news for our clients and the community,” said Hamouda Zouabi, Bayshore’s director of operations, noting that the two companies’ industry expertise will benefit the local workforce and businesses.
Sun Life US operates six office centers in the United States: Portland, Maine; Wellesley, Massachusetts; Hartford, Connecticut; Baltimore; Kansas City; and Milwaukee, as well as an office in Waterford, Ireland.
All office centers adopt the ABW philosophy and incorporate sustainable practices such as extensive greenery, LED lighting, water-saving fixtures, and an active recycling program.
