Dental experts from all over India came together in Udaipur for a two-day event focused on advanced zygomatic implantology and immediate dental implant procedures. Hosted by the Department of Prosthodontics at the Geetanjali Dental and Research Institute, the program attracted nearly 350 participants, including prosthodontists, surgeons, periodontists, faculty, and students.
The event featured live surgery sessions, hands-on workshops, and lectures from leading specialists. Attendees learned about state-of-the-art techniques such as zygomatic and pterygoid implants, immediate loading protocols, and digital implantology. The course also highlighted how these advanced methods help treat complex dental cases, giving participants practical experience and confidence in handling challenging situations.
Mr. Ankit Agrawal, Executive Director of the Geetanjali Group, served as the Chief Guest. In his speech, he praised the academic initiative, noting its importance for progress in implant dentistry and its role in overcoming difficult clinical conditions. Organizers Dr. Balaji Manohar and Dr. Jyoti Kundu thanked the experts, administrative staff, and invited guests for their efforts in making the event possible and successful.
Key sessions included a talk by Dr. Sankalp Mittal, a senior maxillofacial surgeon and implantologist, who discussed essential aspects of zygomatic implantology and methods for managing immediate implant cases. Dr. Jyoti Kundu also spoke about advanced approaches in implant prosthesis rehabilitation, addressing both functional and aesthetic restoration after implant surgery.
The program was held as part of Fest Synapse 2026, showcasing the spirit of collaboration and innovation at the institute. Participants benefited from both theoretical learning and practical skills development, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to excellence in dental education and clinical practice.
