One of the most common procedures in every general practice is the delivery of an indirect fabricated restoration. Currently in dentistry we have a number of different materials used to fabricate these restorations. These materials each have different options to optimize the long term success of the cementation process. Additionally, there are a number of different categories of cements available to today’s clinician. Understanding the strengths and weakness of these cements in combination of the type of material to be delivered can effect the quality and longevity of the restoration. Currently there is no one universal cement for all different types of restorations. But there are materials that can be better choices in each individual situation. This course is designed to discuss the more popular types of indirect materials and review the different cement options for each material. Additionally, techniques to properly prepare each material for cementation will be reviewed.
