CE Webinar: Enhanced Irrigation and Hard & Soft Tissue Applications in Endodontics with the Er,Cr:YSGG Laser

The Er,Cr:YSGG 2780 wavelength is ideal for endodontic applications due to the ability of the wavelength to absorb into water molecules. The resulting photomechanical effect is responsible for cavitation of enamel and dentin, ablation of soft tissue, and the acoustic streaming and cavitation of fluids including the use of irrigating solutions in the root canal system. Hard and soft tissue appears to vaporize after the use of the laser. Soft tissue procedures such as gingivectomies can be bloodless. Desensitization of dentin and accessing in hot molars is possible following unsuccessful supplementary anesthesia. Enhanced irrigation allows for more effective dentin debris and smear layer removal leftover from endodontic files. Photoacoustics within the canal will also increase the tissue dissolving and disinfecting actions of sodium hypochlorite solutions. Participants will be introduced to all of the above mentioned endodontic scenarios and more including a discussion on improved workflow for better patient management., ,Learning Objectives, ,After completing this webinar, participants will be able to:
