The American Association of Orthodontists is recognizing Larry Tadlock, DDS, with the James E. Brophy Distinguished Service Award.
Dr. Tadlock is head of the Orthodontic Department and a clinical professor at the Texas A&M School of Dentistry in Dallas. He is a past president of the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists as well as the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Tadlock will receive his award April 30 during the organization’s annual session, according to a Feb. 25 news release.
Several other dentists and individuals will also be given awards. These recipients are:
- Rolf Behrents, DDS: AAO Lifetime Achievement Award in Orthodontic Research
- Thomas Cangialosi, DDS: AAO Foundation Louise Ada Jarabak Memorial International Teaching and Research Award
- Judah Garfinkle, DMD: AAO Humanitarian Award
- Sunil Kapila, BDS, PhD: AAO Inclusion & Engagement Award
- Richard Kulbersh, DMD: American Board of Orthodontics Albert H. Ketcham Memorial Award
- Lynne Thomas Gordon: AAO Outstanding Contribution Award
