Dentsply Sirona Clinic Solutions offers local universities and dental clinics a comprehensive consultation regarding the design, installation and digital networking of training and treatment spaces.
Bensheim/Salzburg. The 49 Intego Treatment Centers at the University of Quito are intended to help future dentists in Ecuador handle the latest technologies in the dental industry while they are still in training. Dr. Fernando Sempértegui, Rector de la Universidad Central del Ecuador, is proud of the positive development in the dental faculty: “Our dental faculty is the co-founder of dentistry in Ecuador. As part of a transparent procurement process in accordance with the “Ley de Contratación Pública” (note: Law on public/state procurement), Dentsply Sirona came out on top. Upon completion of the formal process, an intensive consulting and planning period began in order to execute the first big project with Treatment Centers in a university in Latin America. “We were very happy to be able to take on this challenge of offering the university new possibilities and being able to realize them together. The installation of 49 Intego Treatment Centers is a big success,” said VP Sales Clinic Solutions at Dentsply Sirona Jörg Vogel. “When we started planning the project, our goal was to integrate the latest technologies in our faculty to be able to guarantee the best possible training for the future dentists,” added Decana de la Facultad de Odontologia in Quito Dr. Blanca Real.
Intensive consulting and planning stage
The project was intensively accompanied by the Dentsply Sirona team in Ecuador. In preparation, the production steps of the treatment centers were presented to the corresponding lecturers. Following an intensive consulting and planning stage, the long-awaited installation began last September. The Dentsply Sirona team also greatly assisted the university during the subsequent induction phase to guarantee the best possible service. The recent opening ceremony was followed by a three-day training session. Lecturers and students were able to participate in the product demonstration given by Dentsply Sirona treatment center experts so that they could optimally start working with the new products.
