Florida Program Promotes Oral Health in Children Through Fun, Educational Activities

COLLIER COUNTY, FL — The Florida Department of Health in Collier County is offering “It’s Tooth Time!,” a comprehensive oral hygiene education program designed to teach children the importance of oral health.

The 30-minute presentation is tailored to different age groups and the specific needs of each audience, with elementary school-aged children as the primary focus. However, the program can be adapted for older age groups as well.

“It’s Tooth Time!” combines hands-on activities, videos, songs, and PowerPoint presentations to engage participants in a fun and lighthearted way. The program emphasizes not only proper oral hygiene practices but also the connection between dental care and overall body health.

At the end of each session, participants receive dental care items such as toothbrushes, flossers, and toothpaste. Organizers also offer customized presentations to meet the unique needs of each school or group.

By combining education with interactive activities, the program aims to instill lifelong oral health habits in children across Collier County.
