Henry Schein One, a leading provider of dental technology, reports strong growth for its cloud-based practice management platform, Dentrix Ascend. The platform is helping dental practices manage rising operational complexity, workforce shortages, and increasing patient expectations.
Over the past year, nearly 600 practices have switched from legacy systems to Ascend, joining more than 48,000 practices already using Dentrix technology. Monthly installations of Ascend have more than doubled year over year, with over 90% of the nation’s dental service organizations (DSOs) now relying on the platform.
Ascend’s native cloud architecture supports multi-location scalability and integrates AI-driven workflows for scheduling, documentation, billing, and insights. These features aim to boost efficiency, profitability, and patient satisfaction.
“Ascend continues to lead the market, providing practices of all sizes a scalable, secure, and intuitive platform,” said Ali Hyatt, chief customer and growth officer at Henry Schein One. “With AI embedded directly into the platform, we’re helping practices simplify operations today while preparing for the future.”
Archway Dental Partners recently transitioned all 41 of its New England locations to Ascend to enhance operational efficiency and support growth. CEO Adam Richichi noted, “Providers need technology that is efficient, adaptable, and reliable. Ascend enables smarter operations today and prepares us for tomorrow.”
Other organizations, including California Dental Alliance Partners and Las Vegas Dental Management, have adopted Ascend to streamline workflows and improve patient care. Dr. Perry Patel of California Dental Alliance Partners emphasized that a connected, efficient platform allows clinicians to focus on patients rather than administrative tasks. Similarly, Dr. Aaron Bulleigh of Las Vegas Dental Management highlighted Ascend’s ability to deliver consistent performance across multiple locations.
Ascend’s platform automates key processes, including eligibility verification, multi-location scheduling, and digital forms management. Its AI features include Voice Notes, Phones, Detect AI Impact Panel, and Claire, a 24/7 multilingual support assistant. The platform also leverages the industry’s largest dental API Exchange, supporting more than 700 endpoints and processing over six billion requests annually.
As dental services continue to evolve, Dentrix Ascend positions practices to meet current operational challenges while building a foundation for future growth.
