The Sri Lanka Navy reinforced its commitment to social responsibility by conducting a series of mobile dental clinics across the Jaffna district from 21 to 25 August.
The initiative was a joint effort between the Navy’s Dental Services and the Jaffna Regional Director of Health Services.
Clinics were set up at multiple locations, including Viyavil Saywa Vidyalaya, the village of Ponnalei in Kareinagar, Nallinakkapuram village in Kankasanthurei, SLNS Welusumana, and the Naval Deployment at Veththalakerni.
The mobile clinics offered free dental care to local residents, students, and naval personnel. In addition to providing treatment, the program emphasized community education.
Attendees received guidance on proper oral hygiene and tips to maintain good dental health.
