Wood County Community Health Center will bring mobile dental services to the North Baltimore Public Library, 230 N. Main St., on Tuesday, Jan. 13, and Wednesday, Jan. 14, providing local families with easier access to pediatric dental care.
Appointment slots are now open for the two-day event, which will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. Services are available for children ages 0 to 14 and include dental exams, X-rays, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants and silver diamine fluoride applications. Appointments are required and can be scheduled by calling 419-354-9049.
A special dental story time and meet-and-greet will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 13, from 11 a.m. to noon. Families are invited to attend, meet the Tooth Fairy and receive free giveaways.
Most dental insurance plans will be accepted, including Medicaid. A sliding fee discount program is available for families with out-of-pocket costs or without dental insurance. A consent form must be completed by a parent or guardian for each child, with forms available at the library.
The Wood County Health Department’s Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program will also be present to offer nutrition education and information on program eligibility. Both dental and WIC services are open to all individuals, regardless of county of residence.
