Pakistan’s largest integrated dental event concluded on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the Expo Center Lahore, with organizers and exhibitors agreeing on one key message: the future of dental services lies in innovation, AI-enabled technologies and stronger collaboration between clinicians, academia and industry.
The three-day gathering combined the 8th DTMA Dental Exhibition with the 14th International and 34th National Pakistan Dental Association (PDA) Dental Conference. It was jointly organized by the Dental Trade & Manufacturers Association Pakistan (DTMA) and the Pakistan Dental Association (PDA) under their MoU-based integrated format.
The summit attracted consistent crowds across conference halls and exhibition areas. The final day focused on students, leadership development, practice management and international career opportunities, reflecting the evolving priorities of modern dental services.
The event opened on Friday, December 26, with a formal inauguration led by Dr Khurshid Ahmad, President of the PDA Central Council, alongside DTMA leadership and representatives from PDA Punjab and PDA Lahore. The opening underscored a unified national approach to dental education, policy dialogue and industry growth.
The scientific program on Day 1 and Day 2 emphasized practical, clinic-oriented learning and policy discussions. Sessions began with the PDA General Body Meeting and scope-of-practice finalization, followed by lectures aimed at both general practitioners and specialists.
Key Day 1 sessions included:
Preventing complications in difficult extractions
Managing complications in fixed prosthodontics
Day 2, which drew the largest attendance due to the weekend, featured parallel tracks across general dentistry and specialties, reinforcing the conference’s focus on practice-ready education and professional renewal.
On Day 3, the agenda shifted toward students and early-career professionals, with competitions, leadership sessions and discussions on practice management and global career pathways.
Running alongside the conference, the 8th DTMA Dental Exhibition served as the commercial core of the event. Exhibitors showcased dental equipment, materials, implants, laboratory technologies, infection control systems, digital dentistry solutions and practice management tools.
Organizers described the exhibition floor as a high-value convergence point where clinicians could evaluate technologies directly and suppliers could engage with key decision-makers.
Nasir Feroze, CEO of Feroze Dental Supplies and General Secretary of DTMA, said the exhibition once again proved its scale and impact.
“The exhibition has once again proved a mega event. Dentists and dental experts from all over Pakistan came to participate. Exhibitors showcased new dental technology, and practitioners showed keen interest,” he said, noting the growing influence of AI on dental innovation.
By the closing ceremony, the integrated PDA–DTMA format had reinforced several outcomes: clearer policy direction through association-led sessions, practical learning for clinicians, stronger student engagement, and renewed momentum in technology adoption and procurement.
With rising interest in AI-assisted workflows, digital diagnostics and modern practice models, stakeholders positioned the summit as more than an annual event. Instead, it is emerging as a national platform shaping how Pakistan’s dental services learn, innovate and evolve.
