Skyview Dental Clinic Opens State-of-the-Art Facility in Moses Lake

Moses Lake residents now have a new destination for advanced dental care with the opening of Skyview Dental Clinic.

“It’s been under planning for about two and a half years,” said Dr. Calvin Despain at the clinic’s ribbon-cutting Friday. “We broke ground in March and started seeing patients a couple of weeks ago.”

The 6,000-square-foot clinic features 10 treatment rooms equipped with modern technology, designed for efficiency and patient comfort. “We’ve got the most advanced equipment and dental chairs available,” Despain said. “We offer same-day crowns, 3D-printed dentures, 3D X-rays, and specialized surgery rooms for longer procedures.”

Eight operatories are connected by a long hallway, each with a dental chair, an interchangeable tool station, and two TV screens—one for X-rays and one for patient entertainment. Three operatories are dedicated to cleanings, while the others are adaptable for a variety of treatments.

A separate “Quiet Room” is reserved for IV sedation, a technique Despain became certified in earlier this year. It allows for precise dosing, making procedures more comfortable for patients, including children. “We can bring in little kids, administer medication, place the IV, and perform treatments while monitoring everything closely,” said clinic staff member Welker.

Located on Yonezawa Boulevard near the new Samaritan Hospital, the clinic is a significant upgrade from Skyview Dental’s previous location on East Hunter Place. “It’s a lot of space in here,” Welker said. “We’re not on top of each other like in the old office.”

Despain, who has practiced in Moses Lake for four years, emphasized the clinic’s focus on reducing dental anxiety. “This reflects how we feel about our patients and community,” he said. “We want the very best for them. This is one of the nicest, most state-of-the-art dental offices you will find anywhere, right here in Moses Lake. We aim to change how people view going to the dentist.”
