Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan) today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement with Advent to acquire 100% of the equity and management team of DONTE Group, a leading dental services provider in Spain. The transaction values DONTE Group at approximately €1 billion.
DONTE Group has more than 426 clinics and 2,200 dentists under the Vitaldent, Smysecret, Moonz and MAEX brands, providing general dentistry, premium dentistry and pediatric dentistry services. It is one of the largest dental clinic networks in Spain. The Group is known for its excellent clinical quality and high-quality patient experience.
This investment demonstrates Ontario Teachers’ strong confidence in the potential of DONTE Group. As a leading platform in the industry, DONTE Group not only has a strong brand influence and excellent management team, but also has the space to achieve rapid growth through organic expansion, new clinic openings and selected acquisitions.
Ontario Teachers’ will provide long-term and flexible capital support to the group, and leverage its extensive experience in global healthcare services to help DONTE expand in the U.S., European and Asian markets.
DONTE Group will also become part of Ontario Teachers’ $6 billion global healthcare portfolio, which also includes well-known companies such as Heartland Dental, PhyNet, Veonet and NVISION.

The transaction is expected to close later this year, subject to the receipt of relevant regulatory approvals and satisfaction of various closing conditions.
