Minnesota dental assistant’s license suspended for working while intoxicated

Shelli Kaiser went to work at a dental clinic in Champlin, Minn., and provided dental assisting treatments to patients on Oct. 3 and 4, according to a report from the Feb. 27 Minnesota Board of Dentistry.

Ms. Kaiser was observed slumping off her dental assistant chair and smelled of alcohol during the treatment of a patient.

She can petition for the reinstatement of her license by completing the appropriate application, paying the requisite fees and completing any necessary continuing education requirements, the report said.
