ADA Approves onDiem to Help Dental Clinics Address Staffing Challenges

The American Dental Association (ADA) Member Advantage recently announced the official recognition of onDiem, an innovative platform that provides temporary staffing services for dental offices.

onDiem is committed to helping dental offices quickly and compliantly connect licensed dental professionals to alleviate short-term staffing shortages caused by employee leave, increased patient volume or schedule adjustments.

onDiem has a nationwide network of dental hygienists, dental assistants and front desk staff, and all professionals on the platform are W-2 employees.

This employment model is different from traditional temporary employment arrangements and can effectively reduce the legal and compliance risks faced by the office, such as workers’ compensation and unemployment insurance liabilities.

Under the cooperation agreement, ADA members will enjoy a 25% discount on service fees when booking shifts through the onDiem platform, and can receive a rebate of $25 per shift for the first 20 shifts, up to $500.

“Dental staffing shortages are a long-standing challenge for many of our members,” said Tony Frankos, ADA’s chief commercial portfolio officer. “Vacant positions, whether front-office or clinical, can have a significant impact on the efficiency of a practice’s services.

After careful evaluation, we determined that onDiem’s ??intuitive platform design, strong professional talent network, and excellent customer service capabilities made it an ideal partner to meet our members’ short-term staffing needs.”

onDiem’s ??operating model is centered on compliance, and is committed to helping practices flexibly staff while ensuring legal compliance.

The platform has established partnerships with more than 13,000 dental practices and 34,000 dental professionals across the United States, simplifying daily management processes such as scheduling, posting shifts, and screening candidate profiles.

“We are honored to be recognized by the ADA Member Advantage Program,” said Joe Fogg, founder and CEO of onDiem.

We understand the challenges that practices face in finding compliant and reliable temporary staff. onDiem’s ??goal is to provide a solution that meets both flexibility and regulatory requirements, and we look forward to bringing real value to ADA members.”

This partnership marks another step for the ADA to improve the operational efficiency of member practices and provides the dental industry with new options for addressing staff mobility challenges.
