Dental Services Software Firm Dental Intelligence Names Scott Johnson CEO to Lead Growth Strategy

Dental Intelligence, a provider of practice performance solutions for the dental industry, has appointed Scott Johnson as its new Chief Executive Officer, the company announced.

Johnson brings more than a decade of experience scaling vertical and infrastructure software businesses. He will focus on strengthening Dental Intelligence’s customer-centric strategy and expanding its leadership position in the market.

He succeeds Dan Geraty, who will transition to the role of Executive Chairman. Geraty will continue to support the executive team and provide strategic guidance.

“I’m incredibly excited to step into this role and build on Dental Intelligence’s momentum,” Johnson said. He noted that dental practices are facing growing demands for efficiency, patient engagement, and intelligent workflow automation, and said the company is well positioned to deliver increased value through innovation.

Before joining Dental Intelligence, Johnson served as CEO of PrimePay, where he led the company’s evolution into a modern SMB human capital management platform and guided its strategic merger with CoAdvantage. Earlier, as CEO of AbacusNext, he oversaw significant growth and multiple acquisitions in the accounting and legal technology sectors.

Johnson has also held CEO roles at Zephyr, a continuous testing software provider, and Social Solutions, which delivers software to nonprofits, coalitions, and government agencies. In addition, he has served on the boards of several technology companies, including Edmunds GovTech, Planet DDS, iWave, and ThreatConnect.

“Scott’s proven ability to scale software companies makes him the right leader for our next phase of growth,” Geraty said. “It has been a privilege to lead Dental Intelligence for the past four years, and I look forward to supporting the company’s long-term vision in my new role.”
