Dentsply Sirona has donated a collection of advanced dental equipment, technology, and consumables to the Ben Massell Dental Clinic in Atlanta, Georgia.
The donation aligns with the company’s sustainability initiative, “Going Beyond: Acting for a Better World,” and underscores its commitment to improving oral health care access.
The donation equips the historic clinic, which has provided free treatment to an average of 1,200 underserved patients annually for over a century, with a comprehensive suite of digital dental solutions.
The goal of the donation is to help the clinic reach more patients, reduce wait times, and provide life-changing treatment options for those facing financial hardship.
The donated equipment includes two Primescan AC intraoral scanners for fast and accurate digital impressions; a CEREC Primemill milling unit and CEREC SpeedFire furnace for same-day crown and bridge fabrication; and a Primeprint 3D printer, which can significantly reduce denture production time from 14 weeks to just days.
The clinic also received essential supplies, including resin, Cavitron ultrasonic scalers, Midwest dental handpieces, and implant solutions.
“This donation bridges the gap between advanced dental technology and underserved communities,” said Bruce Peatey, Vice President of RCO, Americas, Dentsply Sirona. “Working with the clinic’s dedicated team of volunteers, we are transforming the lives of Atlanta residents and advancing our global mission to make high-quality dental care accessible to all.”
For the clinic’s volunteers, this upgrade represents an unprecedented leap forward. Volunteer dentist Dr. Jonathan Dubin noted, “From same-day crowns to implants, we can now offer patients treatments that were previously unimaginable.”
In addition to personalized care, the new digital workflow will increase clinic efficiency, reduce the number of appointments required for dentures, and maximize every dollar spent to expand patient services. These improvements are especially valuable for patients who face transportation or difficulty accessing appointments.
Clinic Director Barbara Jones emphasized the broader community impact: “This isn’t just about restoring teeth; it’s about restoring dignity, opportunity, and overall well-being. With these tools, we’re reshaping the potential of our communities.”
Through global and local partnerships like these, Dentsply Sirona is committed to providing essential dental care to underserved populations.
The company aims to positively impact 25 million people worldwide by 2025, helping them lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
