ENID, Okla. — A major public health event is coming to Enid, providing free dental care to Oklahomans in need. The Oklahoma Mission of Mercy (OkMOM) clinic will operate for two days at the Stride Bank Center.
The clinic is open to patients of all ages, and no insurance is required. Services, which vary based on patient needs, include extractions, fillings, cleanings, and more. Patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis, and appointments are not accepted.
Doors will open on the west side of the Stride Bank Center at 5:30 a.m. on Friday, February 6, and Saturday, February 7. U.S. Veterans may receive early entry on Friday if they pre-register at the Stride Bank Center on Thursday, February 5, between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m.
OkMOM relies on the support of hundreds of volunteer dentists, hygienists, assistants, and community members who donate their time to provide critical dental care at no cost. Patients are screened upon arrival and directed to the appropriate clinic area, including oral surgery, extractions, restorations, or hygiene.
The event is organized by the Oklahoma Dental Association and the Oklahoma Dental Foundation, with funding from donors, sponsors, and partners.
Individuals interested in volunteering can register through the Oklahoma Dental Association. Registration typically opens in mid-October each year and remains open until all volunteer spots are filled.
