ENID, Okla. — Residents of Enid and surrounding areas will have access to free dental care this week thanks to the Oklahoma Mission of Mercy (OkMOM) clinic. The two-day event will be held at the Stride Bank Center on Friday, February 6, and Saturday, February 7.
The clinic is open to patients of all ages, and no insurance is required. Services offered include extractions, fillings, cleanings, and other general dental care. Patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis, as appointments are not accepted.
Doors will open on the west side of the Stride Bank Center at 5:30 a.m. Veterans who pre-register on Thursday, February 5, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. will receive early entry on Friday.
OkMOM depends on hundreds of volunteers, including dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, and community members, who donate their time and expertise to provide essential dental care at no cost. Upon arrival, patients are screened and directed to the appropriate clinic area, such as oral surgery, extractions, restorations, or hygiene services.
The event is organized by the Oklahoma Dental Association and the Oklahoma Dental Foundation and is funded through donations, sponsors, and community partnerships.
Individuals interested in volunteering can register through the Oklahoma Dental Association. Registration typically opens in mid-October and remains available until all volunteer positions are filled.
