Free Tooth Rescue Kits Provided by Murray Dentist to Tackle Dental Trauma

A Murray, Utah endodontist is taking new steps to help people keep their teeth after accidents, offering free emergency kits designed to protect knocked-out teeth until a dentist can help. Dr. Richard Bauman, the owner of Elevate Endodontics, has seen more patients recently—especially children—with teeth lost from sports and daily mishaps. He said the increase in organized sports led to a rise in dental injuries.

To fight this problem, Dr. Bauman has created the “Elevate Tooth Rescue” kit. The kit contains a special salt solution designed to preserve the tooth root if a tooth is knocked out. According to Dr. Bauman, this solution is important. It can greatly improve the chances of the tooth being saved and put back into place by a dentist. Saving the original tooth is often better than replacing it with a dental implant.

Dr. Bauman explained that time is very important when a tooth is knocked out. If possible, people should try to put the tooth back into its socket right away. He advised handling the tooth only by the crown—the part above the gums—and not touching the root. If the tooth is dirty, it should be gently washed with the kit’s solution.

If someone cannot put the tooth back themselves, Dr. Bauman recommends placing the tooth in the container with the special solution and going to a dentist as soon as possible. Each kit is intended for a single use and is meant to be kept handy for emergencies. Dr. Bauman hopes people will not need to use the kit more than once.

These free kits are available to anyone who wants to be prepared for dental emergencies, showing Dr. Bauman’s focus on prevention and public education about dental health. The initiative aims to help the community reduce the long-term impacts of unexpected tooth loss, especially in children and athletes.
