Global Dental Events: Implant Summit in Sweden 2026, IADR in Japan 2029

Two major international dental events are set to shape the future of implant dentistry and oral research in the coming years.

Dentsply Sirona Implant Solutions World Summit 2026

Dentsply Sirona will host its flagship education event in Gothenburg, Sweden, from June 25 to 27, 2026. The city is widely recognized as the birthplace of osseointegration.

The three-day summit will bring together clinicians, researchers, and industry leaders for lectures, live demonstrations, and discussions on the latest advances in implant dentistry. Key topics include digital workflows, surgical innovation, and prosthetic solutions.

Rodrigo Canelhas, group vice president for implants and prosthetic solutions at Dentsply Sirona, described the summit as a vital meeting point.

“At the Implant Solutions World Summit, ideas, experience, and inspiration converge,” he said. “This event will once again offer a dynamic space to exchange ideas, discover clinical breakthroughs, and connect with peers shaping the future of implant treatment.”

IADR General Session 2029

The International Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (IADR) will return to Japan for its General Session and Asia Pacific Regional Meeting in 2029. The conference will take place from June 27 to 30 at PACIFICO Yokohama.

The IADR meeting is considered the world’s largest dental, oral, and craniofacial research gathering. Organizers expect more than 5,000 participants, including nearly 4,800 international attendees.

The program will feature presentations of cutting-edge science, hands-on demonstrations, and opportunities for collaboration among researchers worldwide.

Professor Satoshi Imazato, immediate past president of IADR, welcomed the announcement.

“I am delighted that Yokohama has been selected to host the IADR General Session,” he said. “IADR is the world’s largest dental, oral and craniofacial research organization, and its Japanese division has long had the second-largest membership, after that of the United States.”

Organizers say the event will highlight Japan’s significant role in advancing dental science while fostering international partnerships.
