IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WLUC) — The John Fornetti Dental Center will host a free dental care event this Saturday as part of its 20th anniversary celebration.
The event, called Dentistry from the Heart, will provide free cleanings, fillings, and tooth extractions. Services are available to adults aged 18 and older, regardless of whether they live in Michigan, Wisconsin, or another state.
Patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis, and no appointment is required.
Marketing and Recruiting Director Sara Wentzel said the event reflects the center’s mission to give back to the community and help people who cannot afford dental care.
“This is another way we can give hope,” Wentzel said. “We want to relieve pain and support people who are struggling with the financial burden of dental treatment.”
Several local businesses are supporting the event. Soup will be provided to patients waiting for care, and Midway Rentals will supply a warming trailer to help keep people comfortable while standing in line.
The dental center encourages those in need of care to arrive early, as services will be limited to capacity.
