A historic dental practice in Congleton has been recognised for its long-standing contribution to the dental health of the community.
Moody Terrace Dental Clinic has been awarded the 70 Years High Street Award by Congleton Town Council, in recognition of its decades of service to local residents.
The practice, which is based in a Georgian townhouse at 17 Moody Street, has served generations of Congleton families since its establishment.
The practice is currently undergoing a major refurbishment and expansion to better meet the needs of modern patients.
Despite special restrictions for listed buildings, the renovation plans have managed to introduce wider entrances, accessible ramps and corridors, and will add a garden space for patients to relax.
The award was presented to co-owner Dr Tom Bartley by Town Mayor Councillor Robert Britton on Thursday 26 June.
He said at the award ceremony: “Moody Terrace Dental Clinic is a typical representative of what our High Street Award wants to recognize – it has deep historical roots, is community-oriented, and always strives for excellence.
For many years, they have provided continuous and stable medical services to local families, and this dedication has had a profound impact on Congleton.”
Dr. Bartley thanked the honor on behalf of all employees and said: “We are proud to continue to make progress while preserving traditional values.
This award means a lot to our entire team and will inspire us to continue to provide the best dental care to Congleton residents.”
It is reported that the “High Street Award” is intended to recognize local businesses that have been operating for a long time in the center of Congleton and surrounding areas.
Candidates must have been in operation for at least five years and have demonstrated excellent customer service and a spirit of active participation in community building.
Moody Terrace Dental Clinic has won widespread nominations and support from residents with its profound historical influence and continuous professional contributions.
