Mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang has clarified the reason behind her recent dental procedure, explaining that it was prompted by severe tooth wear caused by years of excessive chewing.
In a video uploaded on the 9th to her channel “?????,” Tzuyang visited a comic book café and was seen eating snacks between schedules. Her manager expressed surprise at her enthusiastic chewing, prompting her to reveal that her teeth were not natural.
“They’re fake,” she said, adding that her teeth had worn down noticeably from constant use. “Since I use my teeth so much, they became shorter.
When I looked into it, I learned it’s better to get treatment early. If you wait until they wear down more, you have to shave the natural teeth even further.”
Tzuyang emphasized that the procedure was for health reasons, not cosmetic enhancement. “There were comments about my teeth when I had temporary implants.
People assumed it was aesthetic, but I didn’t do it for that. They made my teeth look just like my originals,” she said. “I keep explaining this because there are many comments accusing me of plastic surgery.”
She explained that she slightly lengthened her teeth to preserve their structure. “As you get older, if the tooth support becomes too thin, the teeth can fall out,” she noted. She also shared footage recorded immediately after the procedure, describing how careful she was while adjusting to the new teeth.
Tzuyang, who has more than 12.7 million subscribers, is known for her large-scale eating challenges. She previously revealed on MBC’s “Radio Star” that her annual delivery app spending reached 43 million won, with monthly food expenses averaging around 10 million won. She once spent up to 3 million won on a single meal.
Her disclosure has drawn attention to the physical strain professional mukbang creators face, highlighting the impact of extreme eating content beyond public perception of glamour or indulgence.
