Wisconsin Free Dental Clinics Help Low-Income Children and Adults Restore Smiles

The Wisconsin Dental Association and the WDA Foundation will host a free dental care event organized by Mission of Mercy for children and adults with limited financial resources at DC Everest Middle School, 9302 Schofield Ave., Weston, July 25-26.

The event begins at 5:30 a.m. each day and is expected to have approximately 450 patients per day on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointment is required.

All ages are welcome, and children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Spanish and Hmong translation services will also be available to ensure patient accessibility.

Patients will not be required to provide a photo ID, social security number, insurance information or other personal identification materials for this event. However, certain health conditions such as very high blood pressure or severe disabilities may affect eligibility for treatment.

Dr. Thomas Nockerts, president of the WDA Foundation and a retired general dentist in Green Bay, said: “Our team of volunteers is eager to help children and adults who have difficulty accessing dental care.

Our goal is to relieve pain, restore patients’ smiles, and promote oral health knowledge.”

A total of 700 volunteers participated in the free clinic, including dentists, dental hygienists, assistants, students from the Marquette University School of Dentistry, and community members, working together to provide comprehensive free services to patients.
