Dentistry Today attended a live surgical demonstration featuring Jay Neugarten, DDS, MD, FACS, performing robotic-assisted implant placement using the Yomi S robotic guidance system.
The presentation highlighted the evolution of implant placement techniques—from traditional freehand surgery to guided systems and now robotic-assisted technology that allows clinicians to translate digital treatment planning directly into the surgical environment with enhanced precision and control.
Attendees were able to observe the procedure in real time while learning how robotic guidance integrates with digital imaging and surgical planning to support accurate implant positioning.
Members of the Dentistry Today team were present on site for the event and participated in the interactive Q&A session following the surgery, discussing the system’s clinical workflow, potential benefits for practitioners, and the role of robotics in the future of implant dentistry.
