3Shape’s new Dental System 2025 aims to save time and reduce manual work for dental labs with advanced AI-driven tools. One key feature, AI-bite alignment, automatically analyzes dental scans and adjusts missing or inaccurate bite data. Even when scans show an incorrect bite, the AI tool quickly aligns the bite based on anatomical norms. Lab professionals can preview the results and make quick adjustments, significantly reducing the time spent on manual corrections.
The system also introduces AI for tooth outlining and margin line detection in the copy denture workflow. Instead of manually placing annotation points, AI now automatically detects and draws margin lines based on the tooth’s anatomy, cutting down on repetitive tasks and speeding up the design process.
Free AI Bridge Design Proposals Now Available
Users of Dental System 2025 can now access free AI-powered bridge design proposals. This service supports cemented bridges of up to four units, including crowns and pontics. It complements existing AI features like crown, inlay, and onlay designs. The AI proposals are fully editable, allowing professionals to tailor designs to their needs. This feature is available at no additional cost for those with a 3Shape LabCare subscription.
Seamless Integration with 3Shape LMS
3Shape has enhanced its LMS software, allowing smoother integration with Dental System and 3Shape TRIOS intraoral scanners. Now, data entry is streamlined, with case information automatically synced between platforms, eliminating duplicate input. For labs working with dentists using TRIOS, client communications are centralized through the 3Shape Unite Cloud, improving collaboration and ensuring better case management.
Simplified Full-Arch Restorative Planning with Implant Studio
The latest version of 3Shape Implant Studio includes simplified workflows for full-arch restorative treatments, including All-on-4, All-on-6, and screw-retained crowns. The integration with Dental System 2025 has been strengthened, allowing restorative components to be designed directly in Dental System based on Implant Studio planning. This ensures a fully digital workflow and reduces the risk of errors in data transfer.
“Our goal is to simplify and enhance the lab experience,” said Christian Rytter, Senior Product Director for Labs at 3Shape. “By streamlining workflows and eliminating unnecessary steps, we are providing labs with the speed, performance, and reliability they need to grow their business.”
