Several DSOs expanded their networks in various states, while another landed a large investment from an existing lender.
Eight DSOs that made headlines this week:
1. Effingham, Ill.-based Heartland Dental partnered with Prime Dentistry in Coconut Creek, Fla. It also partnered with Soto Dental Partners in El Paso, Texas.
2. Phoenix-based SALT Dental Partners opened Smile Horizon Orthodontics in Washington, D.C.
3. Dallas-based Jefferson Dental & Orthodontics added Planet DDS’ tech solutions to its network.
4. Minneapolis-based beBright acquired Pediatric Dentistry of Shreveport-Bossier in Louisiana, the largest affiliation in the DSO’s four year history.
5. Minneapolis-based Park Dental opened its second location in Bloomington, Minn.
6. Two dental practices in New Jersey have come together at a new Dental365 office in Westfield, N.J.
7. Sarasota, Fla.-based Dental Care Alliance entered into an agreement with its existing lender group to reduce its debt by more than $1.1 billion and receive $95 million in new capital.
8. Plantation, Fla.-based Vitana Pediatric & Orthodontic Partners partnered with Comella & Associates Orthodontics in Rochester, N.Y.
